Easter & My Birthday! March 23

I know I am going backwards... things have been kind of busy but I wanted to make sure I got this on the blog. My birthday this year shared the day with Easter! It was very meaningful to me and very humbling to have them fall at the same time. My Lord and Savior is alive and He is why I have the hope that I do. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8& 9 We have someone who loves us more than we can wrap our minds around. He cares about the details of our lives and He wants us to share that truth with others. I want people to see Jesus in me.

I had an incredible birthday! I am so thankful for my family and friends. I felt loved and cared for and I appreciated it very much. My mom made a delicious and very cute strawberry cake especially for me. We ate dinner at one of my favorite restaurants - Olive Garden. I was surrounded by family and it was a very special night for me. My siblings and parents gave me a precious, amazing, so exciting canvas of my boys! My brother in law, Monty, did an incredible job creating a piece of art. Thank You! My wonderful husband and boys gave me one of the best gifts ever... an awesome new camera! LOVE IT!!! My sister in law -Cynthia, her boyfriend, Jose and daughter Ashley came and stayed with us over the weekend. We always enjoy when they come and stay with us. After church, we went to Mimi and Papaw's for a delicious meal and fellowship. We had an Easter egg hunt for the kids and they enjoyed finding the candy and money. The only hiccup was we had a few real eggs mixed in and the kids thought they were the confetti eggs and were throwing them - making a big mess :( I was sad that I left the darling Easter baskets that Nana & PawPaw bought the boys at home - so they had to use grocery bags :( Papaw has always shared with the grandkids and great grandkids the real meanings of Easter and Christmas when we are gathered as a family - so in the pictures - you will see where he is sharing about what Christ did for us at the cross.

Boys games...

I really thought I would do better at posting - and not wait so long in between - reality is... it's not happening! LOL - here is the latest and I hope to backtrack. I uploaded the pictures in a slideshow via You Tube - and I know the quality isn't as good as I had hoped. I will post clearer pictures later. We had a head spinning day with 5 games!!!!! Yes 5 games... I am telling you we were all so tired when we finished our last game. Hope you enjoy!
